White Water CourseWe stay at the French White Water Course Campsite (Camping Les Ecrins)

The campsite is right next to the river Durance and has all the facilities you need including a lake and white water course. It is situated in the heart of the Ecrin Mountains near Briancon. We run trips daily for Grade 2/3 and 3/4+ so it is ideal for all river paddlers. There are also many other activities locally, warm lakes for swimming, walking and cycling etc.

12 places in the minibus or drive out with a group of friends or your family.  The approximate cost for a place in the minibus, trailer and camping is approximately £400. This includes everything except food and depends on exchange rates and numbers in the minibus.

Activities
The Towns of Embrun and Briancon have many shops, children's activities (Sailing, sailboarding, swimming, rock climbing, ropes courses, museums and historic sites). The region is a winter ski area and the valleys and mountains of the Ecrin surround the rivers. Families and club members are most welcome to join us. In 2019 we paddled, surfed, mountain biked, went horse riding, glacier walking, Via Ferrata, went shopping and sight-seeing.

The Minibus and trailer leaves on Friday evening after work to arrive on the campsite Saturday afternoon. We travel back on the Saturday Evening / Night with a crossing about 4am on Sunday (two weeks later).

Several club members drive out with their families for either one or two weeks. People have also gone by air to Geneva or Turnin with their boats and hired cars or vans.
