Meet in the Beacons Car Park LL32 8GN (through the tunnel, then immedate first left and over the dual carriage way and then following signs to Golf Club and Marina)

The Afon Conwy is a beautiful river in North Wales flowing through the picturesque Conwy valley from the Snowdonia National Park to the sea. It meets the sea at Deganwy after passing under the walls of the 13th century castle and through the harbour at Conwy. The aim is to take advantage of the flood tide. We start in the Deganwy Narrows and paddle upstream as far as possible, have lunch and return. The river offers many challenges in reading water and weather conditions and is rich in wildlife and beautiful scenery.

Meet on the WEST side of the Afon Conwy. The start is from the Beacons Car Park, Conwy Morfa, which can be reached from the A55 expressway junction immediately to the west of the Conwy tunnel. At the top of the slip road follow the brown direction signs to Conwy Marina, and when you reach the marina village follow the signs to the car park.
If approaching from Conwy town, take the Bangor road out of the one way system within the town walls, and about 1 mile out of the town you get to the A55 junction. Go straight over the bridge at the A55 and follow the road round to the right to the marina village, then follow the signs to the car park.
