Scottish camping trip on Loch Lomond - Coordinator Steve Bond
24, 25 and 26th February 2012
This trip is for self sufficient kayaks / canoes and the intention is to camp on an island on Saturday night.

I have found a campsite (Ardlui Hotel Caravan Park - see below) but numbers are limited 12 pitches but we have a teepee which can accommodate 18 people. Please contact me to book a place

I have booked the whole campsite for Friday the 24 February 2012 (£5 per head) and hopefully we will be free camping on an island in loch Lomond on Saturday night.

People can make their way up on saturday and join us if they want.

Plan is: Arrive Friday night camp
Saturday am Kayak/ canoe to island set up camp for that evening
Saturday pm paddle explore
Saturday pm + cook evening meal hopefully on real fire; may partake in a couple of milkshakes
Sunday paddle and journey home.

Camp site for Friday night is in Ardlui, Argyll this is situated at the north end of the lake. G83 7EB hotel, caravan park. see below for map.

We will be paddling towards the south end of the loch, possibly camping at Luss on Saturday night. If you are interested in going please do not hesitate to contact me. Once the campsite places are gone the trip is full.
