This is a talk hosted by Liverpool Canoe Club in the Liverpool Marina Conference Suite (access via the right hand side of the bar).  We sometimes invite visiting speakers or alternatively, the talk is given by club members undertaking the trip or event.

"Tim Haines will be talking about a long and committing solo paddle that he did last summer, crossing nearly 70km from North Uist in the Outer Hebrides, over to the remote St Kilda archipelago, paddling around the islands and then back to North Uist again. Crossings to St Kilda by kayak are rare, solo crossings more so.

The talk will be an eclectic mix of information about the amazing history of the islands themselves, details of the trip and some considerations around planning and executing a committing solo paddle. There will, of course, be lots of pictures of the stunning St Kilda landscape and the resident wildlife."

Free Parking is available next to our compound.   If you park in the car park at the top, then you need to pay at the machine and apply to have a refund when purchasing items or food at the bar.   Many club members will order food from the bar menu before the talk.

The club talks have been an excellent place to meet other members, gather ideas for future trips and find out more about our sport.

Please book a free ticket(s) so I can pass on the numbers and put out enough seats.  You can cancel the booking yourselves just by going to Your Bookings* from the calendar menu.
