Walney Island (Peel) Overnight Sea Kayak Camp

Walney Island (Peel) Overnight Sea Kayak Camp
This is the ideal first camp from your Sea Kayak and is suitable for aspiring paddlers. You should have around 6 months + of paddling experience at the docks or on sheltered water.
We intend to paddle Saturday afternoon to Peel Island on the South end of Walney Island. There is a campsite with toilets and running water, and a pub next door (Which does serve bar meals). On Sunday Morning, we usually paddle back to the cars and head home around Lunchtime.
Please ONLY book a place if you are sure you can commit to the weekend and want to be shown the delights of multi-day trips camping from your kayak.
You will need to be self-sufficient with a small tent, small stove and pan, sleeping bag, etc and a couple of dry bags. You should have or loan a sea kayak with at least two hatches and bulkheads and a working skeg (if it needs one).
Club Sea Kayaks are available for this weekend. Equipment – Liverpool Canoe Club
If you need any advice (Boats or where to pack items in the bulkheads) please email website@liverpoolcanoeclub.co.uk
