2026 Paddler of the Year Awards
Each year, the club asks for nominations for our three Club Awards. 

Members can NOW vote for each of the three categories by tapping here to submit their vote(s).  Family membership allows two email addresses to be registered, so families are allowed two votes for each category. Go to “Edit Profile (Your Details)” from the membership tab to add a second email address.

Awards will then be presented at the club’s AGM on Thursday, 15th October 2026, at Liverpool Marina Anchor Bar Conference Room (7:30 pm for an 8:00 pm Start)

2026 Nominations for Paddler of the Year
(club member who has either made the most progress or achieved the most in paddlesport)

Christine has shown outstanding commitment to progressing her sea kayaking skills, achieving impressive milestones with external awards, leadership development, and cracking her roll. She regularly leads dock sessions and is always a calming, reliable paddling companion—continually setting an inspiring pace on and off the water!

This year, Dominic has continually pushed himself to get out and paddle more, expanding his skills across white water, sea kayaking, open canoes, and the docks. His drive to develop as a paddler and take on new challenges on the water makes him truly deserving of recognition.

Amy has worked tirelessly across all aspects of paddling this year. As junior organiser, her calm, considerate nature supports everyone around her, and her determination recently paid off with a successful kayak roll. Now working towards becoming a coach, Amy’s dedication and hard work make her truly deserving of a trophy.

Emilia has fully embraced freestyle paddling this year, attending junior series events across various locations. As the only LCC junior at August's week-long freestyle camp, her confidence and technical skills grew significantly. She also thoroughly enjoyed the Junior France trip, especially trying out the Hydrospeeds! Emilia continues to be a dedicated, regular participant at both pool and docks training sessions.

Finn has thoroughly enjoyed attending the junior and Speke pool sessions, alongside regular junior and polo docks training. Attending as many polo sessions as possible, he has significantly developed his skills over the past year and is becoming a great goalkeeper. Finn also loved the Junior Anglesey weekend, especially paddling moving water at Four-Mile Bridge and surfing at Trearddur Bay!

Josh is always eager to kayak at the docks and in the pool. He really pushed himself during the Junior White Water week in France, practising eddying, ferry gliding and surfing, before completing a full run of the whole course. Josh is also a very keen canoe polo player who loves to practice his rolls and continually develop his skills.

Clara has thoroughly enjoyed coaching both juniors and adults this year, encouraging everyone to try new skills. She loved the Bea loves all things kayaking and is a regular at pool and dock sessions. Having completed her Sheltered Water training, she excels as a dock’s leader, helping newcomers choose kit and learn to paddle.

Bea has mastered effortless rolls while sharpening her Canoe Polo skills. We wish her the very best of luck with her new University Canoe Polo team!

Aiden is fast becoming a talented young paddler, constantly learning new tricks at pool sessions, mastering hand rolling, and enthusiastically playing junior polo. Always willing to support fellow club members with a bright smile and great attitude, he brings fantastic energy to every single session. Aiden is a wonderful soul with an exceptionally bright future ahead of him in paddling!

Kevin demonstrates outstanding dedication to the club through his commitment to running dock sessions and organising the swim safety programme for members. His reliable leadership in delivering these vital activities makes a huge contribution to the club, ensuring members can train safely, build essential skills, and enjoy their time on the water.

Dom is a vital asset to the club, consistently leading fleet maintenance and compound upkeep while organising volunteers. Reliable and friendly, he generously gives his time behind the scenes, at sessions, and events. Beyond his tireless volunteering, Dom has pushed his paddling across whitewater, sea kayaking, open canoes, and the docks—making him truly deserving of recognition

Bea has been amazing with Fox during his junior sessions. Fox often struggles in group settings and gets easily frustrated, but Bea’s patience and skill keep him calm, focused, and regulated when overstimulated. Her support has allowed Fox to fully participate and thrive—a huge boost to his confidence and sense of belonging.
