Anglesey Weekend Day 3 Sunday by Martin Page
Eight sea kayaks, plus Brian on a SUP set off from Rhosneigr for an easy Sunday paddle across Cymyran Bay, on sea like a sheet of glass. We passed Borthwen quickly to avoid boats and jet skis, continued to Rhoscoyln Head and the Beacon.
As the tide was still running, we went out to the Beacon for some fun, rock hopping around islands along the way. The race between the islands was quite lively, all sea kayaks made it across, with the inevitable capsize of the SUP.
Then we ventured into the main race outside the Beacon. Some liked it so much they went round twice.
Cormorants were everywhere, waiting on rocks, watching us.
Back to Porth Corwgl for lunch on a tiny sandy beach. It was then an easy return across to Cow and Calf islands before landing back at Rhosneigr for ice cream.
