Venture Kayaks 2022 model Islay sit-on-top kayak. I’ve only had this 20 months and used it 6 times on fresh water only (Scottish Lochs). ILL health forces sale.
It’s had the ( hard to find ) watertight centre binnacle added to it and an upgraded seat with a detachable 10 litre bag in the back. The front watertight locker has never been used.
For a used kayak, it’s as close to new as you’re going to get. It has a few ingrained dirt marks due to being stored outside, other than that, it’s superb condition throughout.
This is based on Venture Kayak’s Islay 14 sea boat and zips through the water very well whilst providing a stable platform (I used to sit sideways on this with my feet in the water having a break and it was rock solid.) Has a retractable skeg to help keep it straight in a following wind but I’ve never used it. Brand new, in this trim, they’re over £800. I’m asking £600 on EBay. I’m prepared to let it go to a club member for £525 with a set of new dolly wheels if they haven’t sold by then (currently on fleabay for £20).
