A sunny day on The Dee, 0.85m to Erbistock from Ponsonby

It was good to go canoeing in a canoe. We got on at a pub and we got off at the pub.

We went to The Boat from Ponsonby Arms, running two sections of The Dee. John’s team of eight got on just before us in their kayaks.

The river had a good flow as we passed John’s team later. We took a dinner break after the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct rapids.

It was a good four-hour trip seeing Kingfisher, Herons and a large buzzard with a debrief (KS likes these) and refreshments afterwards at The Boat.
