West Kirby to Hilbre Island and back by Anthony V

Seven of us left the ramp at 9.30 two hours before high water for this none coach-led trip put together by Mike Alter.

With the wind behind us we made good progress up to the top of and around Hilbre Island with no tide race this time to play in we landed on the beach for a quick lunch as this trip has a window of two hours either side of high water to avoid a long walk. We were soon heading back to the Middle Eye and eventually West Kirby. This time a stiff breeze in our faces gave us all some good exercise and with just enough chop to make it more interesting.

All managed with the conditions well with no drama`s.
