2025 07 05 Progression to Sea Kayak – Great Orme

A sunny and eventful day saw the progression to sea kayak group (Adya, Keith, Dan, Roger and Christine) launching for a scenic paddle along the Great Orme cliffs. Spirits were high as we explored the stunning coastline, with playful seals making an appearance and even giving a few of our kayaks a curious nibble!

We stopped at the stony beach near Pigeon Hole cave for a breather and a bit of coastal exploration, then continued on to have some fun paddling around Llandudno Pier, weaving between the pilings and enjoying the shelter of the bay.

As we headed towards the Little Orme, strong gusts of wind picked up, making conditions challenging. After a quick team decision, we turned back to the safety of the main beach, topping off a great session with a well-earned visit to the café.

A memorable day of learning, laughter, and wildlife—perfect for building confidence on the sea.
