28/2/26 Farndon to Chester take 2!

Nine of us met at the car park in Sandy Lane to swap boats onto cars, then we headed down to Farndon to start the paddle down the Dee to Chester. The level was 0,96 which is high but easily manageable. Once on the water, it was a bimble down with the easy current, just gliding us down the river. At first, it was overcast and a bit chilly, but nothing like the temperature from the first attempt back in January.

We soon had two swans leading the trip, and then one of them showed us a perfect take off, leaving the other one to lead us for a while until a motorboat came towards us.

We found a spot on the bank for a lunch break, and by now the weather was a lot brighter. Back on the river and heading down to Chester, it was just a relaxed paddle with plenty of chatting and not much paddling.

We arrived in Chester, sorted out the shuttle and headed our separate ways. Thanks to everyone for a relaxed paddle and see you on the next one.
