End of an era. The last ever pool session at the Kingsway Leisure Centre is tonight (Thursday 28th November 2024).

As some of you may know, we are leaving the pool at Kingsway Leisure Centre in Widnes after tonight’s pool session. The new pool in Widnes, which will open after Christmas, is much smaller and unsuited to canoeing so we are moving on.

The old pool at Widnes

We start next week on a new night (Wednesdays) and earlier time (7:45 – 9:00 pm) at the Austin Rawlinson Swimming Pool in Speke. This swimming pool is ideally suited to canoeing and has easy access for boats from the car park. It is only 10 minutes down the road from Widnes and is a lot closer to the city.

Everything should carry on as normal, just at a new venue. A big thank you to all the coaches, volunteers and paddlers who have used the pool in Widnes over the years to develop your paddling.

Please pre-book in the usual way via our booking site.
