Emergency First Aid Course – 1 day

Location: Tuebrook.

This course is for our volunteer Coaches and Leaders. You can apply for a club bursary to cover part or all of the costs. As with all our courses, you pay upfront and apply for a bursary. Once you have successfully attended the course, the agreed bursary amount will be refunded directly into your account.

Candidates will be assessed by their trainer throughout the day to ensure that all learning outcomes are achieved.
The course instructor will be Chris. 9:30 – 4 pm (may finish a little earlier depending on group size and length of lunch)

Successful learners will receive an FAIB-accredited emergency first aid at work qualification.

Wounds and bleeding
Diabetes
Asthma
Fractures

Anaphylactic shock
Heart attacks and angina
Unconscious colleagues
AED (external defibrillator)

Bruises, sprains, strains
Scalds
The course will also educate our volunteer leaders and coaches on how to handle a wide range of specific site-related situations, as well as teach them cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
