Open Canoe Trip on Easy Local River – Mike Alter

This will be on a local river and is ideal for less experienced paddlers if tandem (two in a boat) or solo for more experienced paddlers. The exact river and details will be emailed to all participants the day before the trip. The rivers used are grade 1-2 sections of the River Dee, River Mersey, River Lune, River Eden and the River Ribble. (Possibly the use of the Menai Straits if the water level is very low)

Booking ends 24 hours before the event…

I am proposing to offer the use of my trailer, and we will meet at the docks for you to load/unload your canoe from the compound. There are 6 spaces on the trailer, which can be booked below. We can pair you up if you are a novice paddler, so just book a place as a solo paddler and let the organiser know you would like to paddle tandem.

Once the canoes are loaded, we will need to use one or two cars to get everyone to the start, leaving the other cars at the compound.

If you would like to join us using your own boat, just use the own boat option on this form. You can also meet us at the river if using a borrowed club open canoe, but it MUST be pre-booked using the club`s equipment booking forms. https://liverpoolcanoeclub.co.uk/equipment/
