London Triathlon This Weekend

The London Triathlon took place on Sunday 7th August in London’s Royal Victoria Dock, the Excel Centre and the surrounding area. Now in its 23rd year, the London Triathlon has recently been voted for by participants, as the UK’s Best Multi-Sport Event.

Carl Leungsangnam and Paul Handley were the only members of the Liverpool Canoe Club who travelled to London as part of the water safety team on the iconic docks and surrounding tourist landmarks.

Almost 5,000 triathletes took part in eight separate triathlete disciplines with the Olympic Triathlon Pulse Start proving to be the most popular attracting 1,385 competitors!

Congratulations to all the competitors, spectators, volunteers and water safety team who helped to make this such a memorable event.
