Today’s Big Paddle Clean Up
Saturday 7th June 2025

A group from the canoe club joined forces today at the Liverpool marina to participate in ‘The Big Paddle Clean Up’. Eric the Goldie & Rosie the labradoodle also helped out.

Armed with large rubbish bags, gloves & grabbers, the group took to the water in various crafts to see what rubbish they could find. Despite the huge downpour of rain, this didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. We all first ventured towards the Albert dock to begin the clean up, collecting various bits of rubbish from the water and bank and then headed back to the marina. After a couple of hours paddling, we managed to collect 13 bags of rubbish. Eric was pleased that one of the younger members of the group found him a new ball.

After the paddle, we enjoyed some hot cups of tea & coffee, sausage in buns, pizza & lots of tasty sweet treats.
