  • by

Ian’s boat has a misadventure – a valuable teaching experience After a very windy night, the wind dropped as forecast and the weather and tide were suitable for a return trip from Dale, round St Annes Head to West Dale Bay. We chose to paddle against the tide from Dale, to avoid launching or landing at Marloes which is a well-known surf beach. We were also near neap tides and there is very… Read More »Pembroke Day 4 Ian’s boat has a misadventure

Sunny Sunday on the River “T” by Sarah Gille What better thing to do on a sunny day than a few laps of the upper “T”. Stuart and I met our Welsh kayaking buddies Helen and Dan at the Centre. It was Dan’s first paddle in his new Raptor kayak. Lots of surfing, eddy hopping and smiling in the sunshine, followed by a lovely slice of cake from the cafe… Read More »Sunny Sunday on the River “T”

Lancaster Canal Sunday 11th May

Lancaster Canal Sunday 11th May by Olwen What a lovely, gentle paddle along the scenic Lancaster Canal, from Lancaster to Galgate and back. Thank you to Carl for organising and leading it. The sun shone, the birds sang beautifully, and the midges, although numerous, were no bother to us. Luckily, the lack of rainfall didn’t impact our passage as we cruised along with the surrounding countryside looking lush.  Cows knee… Read More »Lancaster Canal Sunday 11th May
