2026 Menorca – Day 8 to 10 Sa Cudia Cremada

2026 Menorca – Day 8 to 10 Sa Cudia Cremada

We finished in Es Grau, then spent the rest of the day in cafes and restaurants, just chilling. Bar Es Moll was good for food before Ricardo drove us to the Airbnb that we had rented for the rest of our stay.

The week before we arrived, the Tremontana had been very strong. We were lucky as these winds had dropped totally for the first 6 days of our trip, but unfortunately, they were due to pick up again for the last few days of our trip. We watched the forecasts each day and tailored our paddling so that we could finish the trip early if needed. Menorca en Kayak would arrange pick up from any of the named roadheads on their map that they provided before the trip.

We had decided to finish the trip early and book accommodation, as trying to sit it out on a beach in force 7+ winds would not be fruitful.

The first Airbnb we booked was cancelled with a “personal emergency” by the owner within an hour or so of booking. A wider search gave us the fabulous Villa “Sa Cudia Cremada” hosted by Enrique, who was fantastic and could not do enough for us.

This 18th-century villa had a sauna, jacuzzi and outdoor swimming pool. We had the whole of the ground floor, and although the gardens and pool needed a little tidying for the season, it proved a fantastic setting.

We walked into Mahon (Mao) each day and explored the markets, cafes and restaurants. On the last day, Enrique allowed us to stay as long as we liked until our evening flight. We chose to walk our bags to the main road and hop on the Airport bus, which dropped us at the main terminal.

Menorca is a fabulous location for sea kayaking, and Menorca en Kayak proved to be the best company to hire and advise our journey around the fabulous island.
