Junior Club Docks Session

Bookings close 24 hours before the session to enable groups to be organised.

A fun session for new starters and experienced paddlers alike. Junior club is for juniors of all abilities aged 8 to 16 and any accompanying parents or adults who wish to paddle with their children. Please arrive by 12.40 so that we are ready to paddle at 1 pm.

We welcome new paddlers. Please detail your paddling experience, and we will place you in an appropriate group. All places MUST be pre-booked here, including any accompanying on-the-water parents.

If you are a club sheltered water leader and can lead a group of juniors, please book a ‘Volunteer Group Leader for Junior Club’ ticket.

We will release more junior places if more group leaders sign up, so check back regularly if it is full.

If you have not paddled with us before and your child has any specific needs, please email me with details when you book.
If there are any medical issues affecting any paddler, these MUST be shared with the organiser BEFORE the paddle starts.

All junior paddlers MUST be accompanied by a responsible and contactable adult who is either paddling or waiting at the compound because the session could finish early at any time due to prevailing conditions. If you are not paddling, you are welcome to stay in or around your car while we are on the water.

More information is available here https://liverpoolcanoeclub.co.uk/junior-club/

Canoes and Kayaks, along with Buoyancy Aids, Paddles and Spray Decks, are available to use from the compound. The list of club boats is here.  Suitable clothing should be worn for the prevailing conditions. Water shoes or trainers should be worn on the feet, and a warm layer and a windproof jacket should be worn when it is cold or windy. You will need to step into the water to launch and could possibly capsize and get wet, so please be prepared. You are welcome to use your own equipment, provided it is suitable.
