Junior Whitewater Development and Holiday Week – France 2026
Arrive on Saturday, 25th July 2026, Depart on Saturday, 1st August 2026
This holiday and Whitewater coaching week is to be held at the fabulous Isle de Serre Whitewater Centre and is in addition to the usual Junior Anglesey Weekend. The 3-star campsite is on the banks of the natural-looking, but very friendly, artificial river. It has sections of grade 1, grade 2 and two features of grade 3. The Welsh Junior Development squad use it each year, and it is an ideal place for juniors to develop their confidence and skills in moving water. Parents are welcome to paddle with us as we build our skills and move further up the course. The water is clean and warm, around 28 degrees Centigrade.
The campsite has good showers, toilets, electric on all pitches, and a café/bar. Supermarkets are a short drive away.
The centre hires Hydrospeeds, some canoes and rafts with instruction. However, we will do all our own coaching with the juniors. In addition, there is outdoor fitness machines, a woodland mountain bike track, and cycle tracks along the banks of the River Rhone.

Travel – it is only 7.5 hours from Calais and can be reached with either one stop or in one go if you have several drivers.
The camping and use of the course is extremely good value at less than 13 Euros a day.
Contact Keith Steer if you would like more information or would like to join us.
We really need expressions of interest before we confirm the holiday on the Club calendar. Please reply to the email with a very brief note saying that you are seriously interested or 100% want to go, and give the names of those likely to travel in your family. The traditional Alps weeks will follow this, so families with junior members only please.
