Spring Open Canoe paddle…

What a great night to be on the water…  

A heron greeted us as we gazed at the double rainbow and pondered whether we’d made the right decision, but the initial downpour of rain quickly vanished as we kitted up for a gentle return to open canoes.  With very few other water users on the night, we had it pretty much to ourselves to take our time and amble along up to Albert Docks.  A quick skills practise of reverse paddling into a ‘garage’ was enough as we “awed” and “aah-ed” at the stillness of the night and the calmness of the water.  Reflections off the water had you wondering if it was plastic when in fact, it was a cloud!  We hope you enjoy the photos and look forward to future open canoe paddles.
