It was very busy at Sandy Lane tonight with 100s enjoying the opportunity to swim, paddle and enjoy the river in 27-degree heat. We got changed and paddled down to the weir, picking up Jacki and Dom on the way. Deva CC were on the weir with some even taking the opportunity to swim down the fish steps on the left.

We had a relaxed play and just enjoyed the warm water. These sessions are ideal for getting used to moving water in the warm summer evenings. You do not need to be a full-on WW paddler to enjoy the safety of the weir in summer. Why not join us next Thursday…….
