2024 04 21 Junior Club Trip to River Dee
The junior club ventured on to the river Dee in lowish water o paddle the Grade 2 section on the Dee below Serpent`s Tail and down to just below the Mile End Mill play spot. This can be done by paddling along the canal from Eisteddfod Car Park and carrying back up to the Canal through a secret tunnel.
The river was on a Low / Medium at 0.64 but did drop a little while we were there.
For reference we met at Eisteddfod Car Park in Llangollen LL20 8SW [code to paste XRFF+R2 Llangollen] Drive 800m past the Ponsonby Arms car park and not over Llangollen bridge. We paddled up the canal to about 100m before the Chainbridge Hotel where just through the bridge there is a little track down to the river.
