Hilbre Island Sea Kayak Race. Sunday 15^th July from Dee Sailing club. Mass start 1:00pm – you will need to be there at 12 midday if paddling.

As the Sunday Morning Paddle at the docks has been replaced by this event why not borrow a club boat and come and paddle the shorter 4km course. We already have several juniors paddling. If you really do not want to enter just wear a hi-visibility yellow vest and paddle behind the main fleet. The forecast is the best it has been for many years – do not miss this opportunity to paddle. The compound will be open from 10:00 to 10:30am for people picking up boats but please ensure you book them…..

Andy Lees from “Go Kayaking / Pyranha” will be there with the van, lots of demo boats and small items from the shop. If you would like to try a particular kayak contact them and they will bring it to try. Little Eye Race (All Kayaks) 9km
Paddle from the beach (causeway), clockwise around the Little Eye and back to the finish line.

West Kirby Race (All Kayaks, under 16s and Open Canoes) 4km (Approximately twice round the docks)
Paddle from the beach (causeway), along the shore to West Kirby and around the turn buoy by the slipway and return.
