Hull International Canoe Polo Tournament 1st-3rd July

Well done to both LCC teams!!!

Both teams took part in the 30th edition of the Joy Davies Hull International canoe polo tournament.

Both teams entered into div 3.

Day 1:
LCC Dukes made up of Ben Cook, Callum Cook, Masoud Mohammadifar, Sam Watson, Aaron Jackson and Josh M. They started strong on the first day with some really hard-fought matches and ended the day with 3 wins and one loss placing them into second in the division.

LCC Brunswick was made up of Norman Cook, Josh Cook, Josie Moss, Emma Wooding, Jake Diprose, Callum Housley and Poppy Clews. It was a hard first day with some really intense games. They ended the day with 1 win and 3 losses placing them 5th in the group.

Day 2:
LCC Brunswick started the day with a hard-fought game against the league leaders but unfortunately, it ended in a loss which meant the team went into the bottom half of the division playoffs. After successfully winning their play-off, LCC Brunswick was placed into the 9th and 10th playoff final. This was a nervous but intense game, and all fought hard to successfully secure the win meaning LCC Brunswick placed 9th overall out the of 12 teams.

LCC Dukes started their day with a solid win against meaning they went into the semi-final playoffs as they came second in the division. After a close final, LCC Dukes secured an amazing win placing them into the division 3 final!!! The final was end end-to-end with some amazing defending being done by LCC Dukes. LCC Dukes persisted and fought hard to secure a 3:1 victory making them div 3 champions!

Well done to both teams for a fun weekend of polo. Everyone represented the club in a really good light.

Cheers,

Josh
