Liverpool Open Water Swim on Boxing Day (Sunday 26th December) by Jim Duffy

Thanks to everyone from Liverpool Canoe Club who helped with kayak safety cover for the Liverpool Open Water Swimming Club Boxing Day swim in the Salthouse Dock. Air temperature was 5 Celsius and water temperature was 6 Celsius.

There were about 45 swimmers who took part in the various swims and a host of family and supporters. It was absolutely freezing! However, your support was invaluable and really appreciated by the swimmers.

These photos were taken on a Lumix G7 (14-42) by Roy Page of Halton Photographic Society. He also took some on G9 (45-200 lens) which will be published soon. After the paddle, several of the safety team retired to the Yacht Club for a well-earned warm drink and chat! Jim
