In the last session on Friday, the kids got to choose what they wanted to do.  Emilia wanted to paddle the entire course, but after seeing some of the other launching into the inlet from the side, she also decided she also wanted to do this.  Matt went first as safety cover, then Ottie pushed her off the wall.  She lost her paddle in the first second but managed to hand roll back up and spent the next few seconds hand paddling into the wave and rolling over and over until she ran out of energy and Matt rescued her!  She loved it and went back numerous times to do it again, without her paddle!

She finished the session off with her, Matt and Charlie paddling the entire course, a few capsizes, but each rescued with a handroll and someone else rescuing her paddle (she needs to work on paddle rolls!)

She can’t wait to go back to HPP and do it all again!
