Junior Club Trip to Chester Weir Sunday 9/3/25
24 paddlers took to the water from Sandy Lane and paddled down to the weir. All paddled over at least once and played in the moving water below the weir. The sunny weather made the day and we all had loads of fun.
On Sunday, the 9th March, we went to the River Dee in Chester. It was a lovely sunny day. Lots of adults and children came. We went down the river for about half to one mile. Everyone went down the weir for some white water (it was optional and my mum wimped out). It was very fun and challenging, but mostly fun though. You had the option to go down again if you wanted to. As soon as we finished the white water, we had to get out of the kayak and walk up the weir. It was traumatic and slippy, but I was so proud I did it. Even though it was a warm day, the water was icy cold. I loved every second. By Charlotte

We even had Cheshire Fire Brigade turn up to the car park to practise with their remote control ladder and hose.
